Default Nevada SMOG Check Requirements

So in Nevada the SMOG check is required when?

every other year......Is this correct?

And new vehicles - Most new vehicles do not need a test until the third registration year....

I have been getting my vehicles done every year and do I have to....Ahhhh such a fool, I need to read the registration paperwork when it comes in....

My company vehicle 2007 was registered this year with no SMOG check by Enterprise fleet. This is new to me if it is not needed every year.

It's only clarck county that has a smog check. I think your right you have to have one every year. Unless you live outside clarck county. Are home is in Elko county so no smog and cheap insurence.

You think you need one every year or you assume, I have always assumed but now I am going to find out? My company vehicle was just renewed with no smog check this year...it is a 2007 model and Registered Clark County...It was smog checked last year....not this year.... I called our home offcie and they said it didnt need one this year.

If this is true I have been spending a lot of money every year to SMOG vehicles when it was not needed.

Mojavemadness can you help us on this one?

There are certain laws for fleet vehicles, mm I bet could clarify, but private cars I know for sure as I have a current smog license

my Jeep was originally registered in Douglas County (Tahoe) so it didn't need a smog check. for some reason even after registering down here it still needs no smog checks!!!!
