I can tell we did a lot of technical riding yesterday. My wrist is killing me (tendon issues) from all the clutch work.

At least you can't blame anyone else, since you were the leader! Does Ice and Ibuprofen bring any relief?

When you guys were talking about going another lap, I knew I had had enough. One of the better riders (which could have been anyone else out there), remarked that I should probably stand up more over the rougher stuff...well, my bars are too low (need to find some risers that not only rise, but move the bars forward as well), so I end up mostly with my knees really bent when I stand, so my legs were shot!

This technical off-road stuff is tough on us "seasoned" fellows. Sure is fun while we're doing it, though...

Wow
I had a great weekend of riding.
It started Fri morning At Nelson Hills with a friend of mine and his son and my daughter. We covered quite a few miles. I took a couple of cool pics.
My daughter charging a hill that is steeper than it looks.

My friend going at the hill.

My friends sons turn.

Us at Keyhole canyon.

Me and my daughter at a "Safe"

I was pretty tired when I got home but I decided to load up the trailer again and head to Valley of Fire to camp out and be ready in the AM for Sat. Ride.

Rider1 and I camped out for the nite
We took a recon ride to the Manterhorn and in the process went over some real technical stuff. Rider1 handles his new quad very well.
Rider1 at the top of the Manterhorn

Me at the top thinking about the how ride down the next morning will go.

We rode back after dark and had a full moon to help us out with navigation and oh yeah Rider1 had a GPS that helped also.
We had some great conversation and called it a night. I was tired.
Rider1 knocked on my door right when the sun was coming up and I snapped this pic. Notice the long shadow.

I invited a friend of mine to go along on the ride and it turned out that he knew Gary and Tom from the Gamblers 28 years earlier. Small Vegas we live in!
Here is my friend Norm on his stoopid two stoke with electric start that pisses me off!

Blackheart and Rider1
Blackheart tells me he isn't a great rider, I have to disagree very much. He took his DR350 and hung with a bunch of ugly orange bikes and one cool looking red one.

This one is my favorite, you have to look close but that is Dad2bike having a little trouble. No he didn't fall, he just got a little hung up in a little ditch.
I have followed him around for quite some miles now and have never seen him so much as bobble. Very fast, seasoned rider that guy. I am impressed!

Dad2bike, Blackheart and my Manterhorn buddy TJ

Then came time to tackle the Manterhorn. I have been thinking of that hill for the past three weeks since I saw it!
This pic is just the top third.

I dropped in and ate shit right away. within 10 feet of the top. No pics just another scratched and bruised elbow.
About Halfway down when I was cleaning my shorts, I snapped this.

And then I snapped a pic of TJ while he was riding my ass and telling me that "This ain't shit"

That frigging downhill was INSANE.
I told Skid that I would do it with him but I think I want to send TJ down with him because I have "Been there, Done that"

Things I learned.
TJ likes talking shit in a good way.
Dad2bike is very impressive on a dirtbike even if it is Orange.
I want Rider1s' job!
Blackheart is full of shit that he cannot ride very good.
Gary is very quiet. I don't know anything about him and I have been on two rides with him.
35 miles can be brutal if the Manterhorn is in there.

The Manterhorn is my BIOTCH!!!!!!!!!

So Three good rides in about 24 hours
Thanks again Dad2bike!
Oh and great pics of my bike taking a nap!

I see you've learned what I did many years ago...
If there is a tough obstacle to concour, send TJ first. Then just follow his line. If you dare.
TJ can lead Skidmark next time. TJ will be at the bottom talkin smack to Skid, waiting for him to unpucker his rear end.
