I had been doing research and decided I wanted a trail vehicle suitable for carrying more people than myself, a weekend mobile so to speak. I tried taking my 'ol lady two up on my DR650 once before to show her some of the beautiful scenery I get to see on my bike. After that outing lets just say that two up trail riding on the DR650 wasn't for us.
It had to be capable, reliable, practical, utilitarian, and cheap would be good too. After about two months of searching and finding nothing but jeeps that were ready for the scrap yard I finally found this example that needed little more than an oil change a willing driver.
Off to nearby Cottonwood road we went.

Didn't realize this was supposed to be slippery till I tried walking on it.

I heard these things can go all the way through Potato Gap in stock trim with a little creativity. Not having any personal experience with it I figured this little outcropping might be interesting. It wasn't, XJ just cruised like it wasn't there. [IMG]

With a little luck I should have this thing lifted in no time.
